With headphones OK, but speaker not working, there are 4 things to check.
First, check to see if you mistakenly plugged the speaker into the P5 header
on the control board - the speaker plugs onto the RF Board.
Second, have the crimp pins in the speaker connector been pushed back into

It does sound as though your problem is caused by a failure of the switch
which is part of the headphone jack. If the switch has failed and stays
'open' you could still get audio out of the headphone jack, but when
removing the headphone plug the audio will not be switched through to the
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

This seems to be a common problem - but I have never experienced it myself.
Unfortunately the form factor for that headphone jack seems to only have one
manufacturer. One can say 'bad design decision' or 'faulty parts' or
anything else, but that does not solve the problem - it would appear to me

My K2 has the same problem. I think the phone jack has issues because the
is the second time I have had to replace it in the last 6 months. Just
sent the email for a new one from Elecraft today.
