KAT500 + KPA500 connected to K3 through coax and elecraft
interfacecables. NO antenna connected to KAT500 (all 3 connectors open)
KAT500 and K3 connected to same DC-supply.
KPA500 off (AC cord disconnected)
Results:
KAT500 switched on, Mode = auto, ANT = 1, no antenna connected: *S4

Ok that a larger display is better, but I prefer a compact size for my
RIG (K3+P3).
Already Exists sofware to use digital modes on the P3 main display? From

Connect the K3 RX Out to a splitter - connect one output of the
splitter to the second receiver input and the other output of the
splitter back to the K3 RX IN.
I've used off the shelf 2 set VHF/UHF/FM hybrid splitter/combiners
even at HF with good balance/isolation and no excess splitting loss
I am borrowing this K2. I have had it for 2 weeks. The owner just had it
back from elecraft for some issues.
It worked as advertised for almost 2 weeks. When I turned it on the other
day I got the INFO 80 message.
Looking at a few things I found that the +6 volt regulator had the output

I finally looked at the manual and saw the ERR messages. At first I thought
that there should be a number with it. Wrong, it was listed as ERR KEY. It
said that it usually was caused by an external device shorting KEY or PTT to
ground. I caused it by using a mono to stereo 1/8 to 1/4
Power is a per band setting, not per memory. There is no power field in the K3
frequency memory.

Forget it - Brain lock - I reversed the readings when I wrote them in the
manual and brain locked and I kept reversing U12 and U13.

Yes. While it’s not complete (i.e. menu settings aren’t implemented), it
definitely works, and has to one degree or another since June of last year when
I got my KX3, #379.
You can either:
1) Hold down the CWT button while powering on for the first time to turn on the
morse UI at 20 WPM.
