Larry,
IMO, it's difficult to properly set up the TX audio ... especially
the equalizer ... by listening to yourself. I have a long-time friend
who has a Flex that's helped me set up the TX's audio by guiding
me while watching my signal's audio on the Flex display.

Hi Mel,
Filing, cutting or otherwise breeching the plating
on an iron's tip will hasten failure of the tip due
to accelerated oxidation of the core metal.
But, yours is a workable suggestion if you have
a replacement tip. (:-)

I neglected to mention that since my K3 has BNC's,
I replaced the S-239's on my 200W sensor with BNC's
from an OP-SB2 kit from Marshall at Oak Hills Research.
That's how I noticed the opportunity to install the sensor
cover incorrectly. (:-)

How is the display on the computer?
My KUSB, bought with my initial K3 purchase, works fine.
