When I got my KX3, I built a pair of transistor switches that fit in a DE-9
shell. Added cables for RX/TX, PTT and CW KEYING and now it works just like a
K3 with CAT, PTT and CW using DTR, and RTS from n1mm all from a standard KUSB
that works with the K3.

Also, you can move the "peak" left/right by rotating the SHIFT knob. You will

My K3S fans are quiet. But I lit up the fan in my KPA500 today running 500
watts running RTTY. But noted that as soon as the fan hit high, the temp
started down. So it works well. Amp did great. Almost 100% return on calls.

Yes. You have a BNC antenna jack labeled REC ANT I believe. Use it for REC
antenna. It is disabled while transmitting and is not in the TX path so you
can't hurt anything. It is located on rear of radio and is most left of the
bank of 5 below the audio jacks.

You need to do the 70 watt cal with at lest 14 volts at amp power pole. And use

make sure they are working. You can also use this to set the fans to a speed if

They're kind of spread out so I don't thinking makes much difference.
Download the various assembly manuals and see if there are two or more that
need common panels/parts unassembled and do those at the same time.
