Over a period of time I've noticed an occasional error when transmitting
FT8 on 30 meters with my K3S using WSJT-X. A couple of seconds into a
transmit cycle, WSJT-X will display a "Rig control error" box, and I
start hearing the rig's modulated audio output on its own speaker. This

FWIW I use three scopes for different purposes.
A Siglent SDS1202X-E is my all-purpose digital scope. There's a large

capabilities such as capturing screenprints containing a lot of data
overlaying the waveform graphic.
Thanks. Doubled down, and it actually didn't take too long.

Here's what I'm sure is a beginner question.
If I feed an accurate signal from a waveform generator into my K3S, on

This seems to be independent of the mode the K3S is in. What causes that?

The duty cycle for JT-9, 1 minute transmit, 1 minute receive would be
50%. I frequently run 100 watts on WSJT-X FT-8 with no issues.
Just pay attention to PA temperature. It should be 60 C or less.
Also this is with FANS in the automatic mode.

For voice and CW modes, you want to have AGC on. TX and RX EQ can be
