Is there any way to determine the settings that the antenna tuner
determined were necessary for an antenna? I would like to be able to move
my antenna around and determine which one is a better match for the
frequency being used. It would be awesome to do this with just the radio

This device has an RS232 or TTL (5V) output. I looked in the manual and
didn't see the specifications for the serial port on the KX3. I apologize
if I missed it, but can someone tell me the pin out of the connector and
the interface level (RS232, 5V, 3.3V)?
Thanks

The miracle-whip antenna isn't an improved antenna over much of anything.
:) It will work but if you want an antenna that will work much better,
make sure you get the antenna tuner and use the antenna listed in the KXAT1
manual. 26' of wire connected to the center conductor of the antenna jack
How much does the item you want weigh? If it is more than 14 oz, I'll
bet that is why it says $999.
Just a guess.

This has happened to me also. Some PC software can't handle multiple sound
cards very well. When I'm not getting the correct sound from the radio into
the computer, I tap on the laptop a few times. If I see the extra noise on
the waterfall when I tap, I know it is using the microphone input.
Hello, both radios have been spoken for pending payment.

The K3 works fine with the Buddipole. I've used mine a few times.
I've also used the Buddipole with a KX1, K1, K2 and FT817. It works
fine as long as you realize it isn't going to be be as good as a full
size wire dipole. Here is how I do it:

I've found that the Buddipole is very flexible and you can configure

works for you. I

Here is a document I found that explains how to setup remote control
for a rig using Ham Radio Deluxe. I haven't tried this, but I have it
bookmarked because I plan to try it at some point. This document
talks about Ham Radio Deluxe remote mode and Skype.

I'll also add that I've been happy with the Buddipole that I've used with my
KX1 and K2. Once you get used to tuning it for the band you want, it works
well and is very portable.

Thanks Don, just an update. I re-nulled C55 and it nulled fine
the proper leads into the right holes, and the leads must be
well stripped.
You did remember the single turn winding through the core when you put it
