Unfortunately the K2 KPA100/KAT100 will only work with the K2. For the K3
you'll need to get the KPA3/KAT3 modules, or possibly get an external amp such
as KXPA100/KXAT100 that can be used with both K2and K3 (albeit not as fully
integrated as the dedicated amplifier/ATU options for each radio).

I think a good solution in the meantime is to resurrect this K1EL K40, strip
it down to the bare minimum (the keyer board, and ditch the display) and

I have a K40, now obsolete and replaced by the K42, since arthritis left me
unable to use a bug or paddle and can vouch for its effectiveness on both K2

user, you also have to run the programs that way. After you do the install,

Everybody wants something - You guys remind me of a comparison I saw of what
was wanted in the modern day automobile and I can't remember but a small
portion of it:
higher ground clearance
tighter turning radius

Ken - is it possible to have the Elecraft logo embroidered in? Of course, that
would require copyright approval from Aptos, but I think it would go a long way
towards making the covers unique.

Has anyone interfaced their rig to the Icom solid state amp? It looks like
the KRC2 should do the trick but I would like to hear from someone who has

That which sets these radios apart is their relative immunity to blocking and
IMD. That's a pleasure! Their clean transmitting signal is a matter of pride
for the operator.
A few suggestions to the relatively less experienced contesters;
* compare yourself only to yourself and have fun.
