Boy the firmware changes keep coming and coming even before I can load the
previous beta a new one arrives.
I would like to make a firmware change request. Several times while in the
Data A mode I have accidently hit the M1 button where I have a voice message
of my call stored. Of course
The 1 switch on the number pad switches from vfo a to b.
Could the switch tone function be changed such that it gives an indication
of which vfo? i.e. low tone for A, and High for B?
This would be very helpful for setting splits.

Gulio,
part of this behavior - KEY OUT is as copy of key nor PTT OUT is well

It's a good point you make David. We have both mentioned that it would be
good for the firmware to turn MON on (if it isn't on already) during the
transmission of a recorded message, whether from M1-8 or AF Play. Also,

I've noticed one possible issue using the KDVR3, wich I've installed today.
The PTT is controlled directly by the radio, so basically when you go
for playback the radio goes on TX automatically.
This is a problem for us, cause on our VHF station we deal with an
external sequencer who manage to

That might work! Presumably the other features of the KRC2 would not work
without also having the auxbus connected - not a big loss for me. It is
something I will try as it is only going to need a 9-way serial cable with
pins 4 6 disconnected via W16 and W20 just in case.
Considering all the
Mike,
For use with the K3 serial port, put in the jumpers for a thru
connection on pins 4 and 6 so any computer application you may want to
use can have access to these K3 serial port pins for PTT and keying.

The other method with AUXBUS almost works.
The new firmware has a compatibility mode added to the KRC2 config menu of
the K3. This should make the KRC2 show up as 10m or 60m on 6m. It actually
shows up as 160m with my system. So, as long as we don't mind 160m mapping
to 6m that is a solution.
I wonder if it is possible to make the K3 lie to the KRC2 that 50 MHz is
via a transverter? This would help my switching problem and I think might be
of general use to those upgrading from K2+XV50 to K3.

That is a very good idea Joe.
I will try but it will need pull up resistors fitting in the KRC2. Also
because I use transverters I will have to solder 4 more wires and it will
need two multicore cables soldering onto that 15 way din and that is very
difficult because of the size with a
Mike,
Try it using the AUXBUS control before connecting the BAND0-3 outputs
from the ACC connector.
If I recall, the AUXBUS control will also activate the 60 meter KRC2
output when 6 meters is selected on the K3.
Even if my memory is incorrect, it is worth a try, it is an easy matter

Mike,
I have been looking at the KRC2 manual and was reminded that the KRC2
can use serial band decoding. You might want to try it because it seems
to be the easiest (but I am still unsure about the 6 meters/60 meters
decoding.
You will have to set the K3 (and any logging/computer control
