Eric, Yes, it is possible to mount the KPA100 in an EC2 enclosure - If you already have the enclosure. Just mount it instead of the EC2 enclosure top cover. You will need to add a BNC connector to the lower rear panel of the EC2 so you can attach the coax from the K2 to the input coax of

Yes it is normal to hear a slight hum when the Mains switch is on.  Also the left side may be slightly warm.    When the Mains switch is on, the low voltage power supply is on.    This supply is for the logic and processing. See the IMPORTANT section on page 14 of the manual for further

John, The KAF2 audio filter makes the audio much nicer, the always in line LPF cuts out the hf hiss should you ever listen to SSB. Noise blanker if your environment requires it. These things can be retrofitted if you plan to upgrade it by stealth. Once you have an idea what you're aiming
