emc2 uses nml to communicate between milltask and the user

that these are actually implemented through a shared memory method.

Hi
I am interesting in EMC2 and EDM – electro discharge application. I want
to use it for burning/removing broking taps from holes.
I know it been done already. Is any documentation or paper about
controlling EMC2 with EDM process?
I think it can be useful machine for many mfg co.
Thanks

I built a Mill CNC with the 30m (X) x 6m (Y) x 4m (Z).
The CNC was using a controller for 3 axis and it were working fine.
My decision to change for LinuxCNC is in order to use 2 new axis that the
older controller did not support.
Server motor is connected thru 2

You posted this exact same message yesterday. I replied asking you to

Thank you both for the help and quick response. I will try this tonight.

I ran a dist-upgrade from dapper to hardy, and it was pretty ok..
It finished updating without problems, but I had to run the install script

because external repositories don't get updated automatically).

Does anyone know if the CNC-fest Mazak retained its original servo drives,
or if they were swapped out, and more importantly, with what? I have a Mitsu

due to its age, I won't be retaining the servo drives themselves. I'd
The fest machine retained the original servo motors but swapped out
the amps to Servo Dynamics 1525BR's. As far as AC drives I have no
experience but you might take a look at those from Servo Dynamics.

That circa 1982 Mazak had DC brush motors with SCR drives, not what you
want at all!
