manager (twm) you attach windows to keyboard shortcuts, creating a
personalised group of stuff you like to have together.
Ultimately it is these shortcuts that act as a 'virtual desktop', as a twm
doesn't normally need

+1 for this, I'm having same issue but with NV binary drivers. Also,
sometimes, some of the icons get in front of fullscreen apps (like a video).
I ended up removing the systray mod
