Why would you buy something else, unless you didn't want to rely on the
workstation for that purpose, of course... ?

$100.00 or less new and used
To use Linux as the print server with a Windoze 9x workstation, you will need to

If I go the hp jetdirect route, it looks like the 300x is the model
I would get. Here are the specs:
