have a puzzling problem where just one user cannot see his calendar
appointments in OWA. We are running ex5.5 sp4 and he uses IE6. Can see the
calendar but no appointments, but appointments can be viewed using outlook
client. Anyone else on his machine can see their appointments if

First of all, if you're trying to recover a message from public folder, you
should have restored PUB.EDB, not PRIV.EDB.
Your nightly backups won't affect the dumpster unless the item was deleted
more than 14 days ago. Chances are it is still there and you can simply
recover if from there.
What SP is the OS. We have had a similar configuration of Echange/PDC and
even proxy and a few other things(it's not that bad anymore just proxy and
PDC which we are fixing to replace) and had slow shutdown problems until we
installed SP6. I think it may have been SP3 before that but since then

I recently got a message from Spam Cop stating that my server was being used
as a relay. I went back to my server, and the IMC connector was set to +ACI-do
not relay+ACI-. I changed that to allow relay for incoming domains only,
specifying the domains, as per SANS. I also cranked up
Exchange will accept any message inbound but that doens't mean the message
will be relayed. Most likely Spam Cop is mistakenly assuming that accepting
the message means successful relaying. Contact them directly.
