I have been following this list for a couple of months now, all of my operational problems have been answered with out me having to send a single email. My question has any one been successful in running "anyj" on a Mandrake 6.1 box. I have it installed but have been unable to get it to run

I've compiled a new kernel as I've done many times in the past. This time I'm trying to use linuxconf to automatically configure lilo for me. Linuxconf doesn't provide me with a list of choices concerning which the root partition to install to and if I type in '/dev/hda1' (what I am using now)

ACK, it's happening! The PCTel HSP is a Host Signal Processing Modem, one of the first Winmodems to become a linmodem You NEED a DRIVER for Linux which PCTel does provide. GO to their Website or to www.pcchips.com where your board was made. One of the two will have the driver. Civileme

Is anyone aware of any problesm with the automounter? Recently a problem with automounter has cropped up. Whenever I try to mount a drive directory operations slow to a crawl. If I stop the automounter (autofs stop) everything come back to normal. This does not happen until the first attempt

Hi, to install Linux Mandrake 6.1 on my machine I downloaded the iso-image from a mirror on my Windows-partition. I do not have a CD-R however, so I'd like to be able to mount this image using -o loop (in expert mode, if necessary) and proceed with the installation from here. Is this possible
