operational problems have been answered with out me having to send a single

distributions out there which fit on two floppies or so... No X, no user

You NEED a DRIVER for Linux which PCTel does provide. GO to their Website or to
www.pcchips.com where your board was made. One of the two will have the driver.

Is anyone aware of any problesm with the automounter?
Recently a problem with automounter has cropped up. Whenever I try to
mount a drive directory operations slow to a crawl. If I stop the
automounter (autofs stop) everything come back to normal. This does
not happen until the first attempt

from a mirror on my Windows-partition. I do not have a CD-R however,
so I'd like to be able to mount this image using -o loop (in expert mode, if
necessary) and proceed with the installation from here. Is this
