I don't have either one of those things installed on my Mdk 7.2 system and
the java is working fine. I don't get the feeling that it's needed. If it
is installed I'm not aware of it being there.

I got Mozilla to work. It CAN handle the javascript on the
http://www.cores.utah.edu order sites. Konqueror cannot handle the
javascript involved in placing a DNA sequencing order through these pages.
Mozilla's problem dealt with the https pages involved, not the javascript.

If I have time later today, I will install PSM and give it a shot for you.
I am running Mozilla M18, not 0.6, but I don't know if that will make a
difference or not.

No it just does not work. You can try http://www.aa.com and get similar results.
Looks like you get to do some programming and help out or just wait for the next
edition like most of us. I've seen this problem discussed here before, but no
solutions have shown up yet.

Below is the offending javascript code (it is tied to a secure website but to

I don't understand this issue.
I dumped Mozilla 0.6 and downloaded and installed the later build dated 12/19.
I installed it (as superuser) and then downloaded the PSM and installed it.
I quit mozilla and restarted as I read you should do.
OK, I then tried to access the https page associated

I downloaded the security manager for mozilla...it didn't work,
unfortunately. It trashes mozilla and everything else being displayed on the
screen. I had to kill mozilla. Crap...thus far it looks like I am going to
HAVE to use Netscape.

It appears that konqueror's problem on that page is with the JavaScript
window.open() method, which opens a popup window for the user to enter
their information. I tried a simpler page with just the window.open()
command, and it did not work. Mozilla can open the window, however. But

First of all, the Java Virtual Machine is not required for JavaScript to
work -- the two are completely different animals. I don't know how to get
Java working, but JavaScript works fine in konqueror on my system.
However, there is a caveat with regard to JavaScript: both konqueror and

Hi !
Javascript has nothing to do with Java. It's a totally different think.
Javascript support is integrated idn Konqui and it works, at least for me,
