Our cat that was a feral found a nice hiding place inside our wall. She was very trap savvy you could say and we couldnt trap her...until I put a piece of cardboard on the bottom of the trap to cover the wire cage. She went in and got trapped and we got her out of the wall. It might help,

PARTIAL SUCCESS! Advice on trapping...night v day trapping

Last night mom and kitty were waiting and followed my dad to our door to get food. I know they were hungry! I managed to trap the little Munchkin who turns out is a girl. I got her to an e-vet at 10 PM and they tested her and put her in the big dog kennel for me. She's now sitting there sort

I've always heard that you shouldn't leave a trapped cat for more than a couple hours. I usually withdrew all food by 6pm and then got up around 3 or 4am to set the traps. (I had to arrive at the spay clinic no later than 6.30am) Good point Kelley makes about the clinics---I had a horrible

Dear Chris Bless you for helping these little sweethearts. The wonderful former listmember Hideyo told me this trick years ago when I needed to transfer a trapped cat to a cat carrier. It worked like a charm, and hopefully it will work for a kennel too. It's based on the fact that, in her vast

Great news! If you can't get mama, it was suggested to us that we put a kitten in carrier next to trap or tape kitten meowing and place tape recorder in or near trap. We did not try this. It took me 4 days to get the last of a litter of kittens after I trapped his mama nd 2

I used to leave the trap out for at least a week before setting it. I would prop the door open and put food in the trap. It's always worked for me. - Original Message - From: Marylyn To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Sent: Wednesday, January 09, 2008 12:12 PM Subject: Re:

It is one thing to trap a cat, transport it in the trap to a safe, sheltered place (in my case a closed garage with a towel, blanket etc over the cage to help calm the cat) and leaving a trapped cage in the open where it can be frightened if not harmed by other critters or by mean spirited
