Dear Catherine,
I'm so sorry. I know that there are no words that will bring any relief, but I wish I could help. Meowko will never be gone as long as she remains in your heart, and I see that you will never lack for happy memories. That she passed easily is a blessing. She chose you as her

Dear Catherine,
I'm flooded with tears after reading your story with Meowko, what a lucky cat
she was to have you and your hubby in her life. She brought you and your
husband together, and has inspired, I think, all of us in this group to keep
loving our babies and fight with and for them to
We're taking Ember to a veterinary surgeon in another town tomorrow. The main
reason for going is to get diagnostics and finally know for sure what the lung
mass is. I should have done this a month ago, and I'm kicking myself for not
having been aggressive.

Dear Catherine,
I'm so sorry to hear of Meowko's passing. She sounded like a wonderful
kitty. During her short time on earth, she was loved and loved you and
your family in return. Please take comfort in knowing what a great life
you provided for her and the loving companionship you and Meowko
Dear Lance,
I hope that you will find something treatable. My Mako also has a
mass, and we keep going back and forth with how to proceed.
My thoughts will be with you and Ember, hoping for a good result.
Please let us know how it goes...

Catherine,
I'm so very sorry to hear that Meowko crossed the bridge. Thank you for taking
the time to share your sweet story of being adopted by Meowko and the time she
had with you and your husband. She will forever be in your hearts, and that's a
beautiful thing. Take care.
Lance
On May
Lance,
I'm definitely keeping you and Ember in my thoughts! I hope her procedure
tomorrow goes well and you get some good news.

Hi Michelle,
I think you are right in this. I have combined, but it was
inadvertant, and wouldn't do it conciously were there an alternative. No
vaccine is 100%.
Having run a foster program myself, I understand that you cannot ask
them to risk either their own pets,
Where do you live? I'm in South Texas, have had a double positive boy. Kept him
for three months. He turned negative for FeLv, now in my FIV+ enclosure.

Hi Lee,
Just a caution, 18 months ago I had no FeLV positive cats. I now have two. The same cats. The infection can apparently sequester in the bone marrow, and resurface with immune suppression and/or stress.
That's why I say my "mixing" was inadvertant :(

I mix my FeLV cats with my FIV cats with no problems, but if you foster for a
shelter you def do not want to mix with fosters.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate them.
Margo, it's so hard to know what to do. In Ember's case, I feel like the
surgeon will probably want to go ahead with surgery, unless it's obvious that
something (other than the lung mass) is very wrong. I've seen
