Neil,
I have not had this happen, but feel this is a good
thing. So many vets just chalk up illnesses to FeLV
if a cat tests positive (and many times, the tests can
be wrong), and then give up on treating the actual
illness because they have such a negative view of
FeLV. Now you guys can focus

Hi Michelle, Yes, Bandy tested positive for both back in Aug...He was tested twice on ELISA and then IFA bone marrow...She told me she searched for cancer cells and other things and found nothing else..The anemia is caused from the Felv...She said the FIV would probably never cause him a

I doubt he has seroconverted, especially if he is still having anemia and
other problems. I would not do another FeLV test, at least not now. I
think that cats who seroconvert usually do so a little while after contracting
the virus, but I am not sure.

This does happen. Could be the snap test is wrong. It's not
unusual to get a false positive or negative on that test. Trust the IFA
for now, but see what the bone marrow results are.
If kitty is otherwise healthy, keep kitty inside, and feed a good high
quality food. Wellness, Inova, Royal
Kerry,I wouldn't bother retesting for the felv either. I don't think a bone marrow can be false positive. It was interesting that with my first positive, CC, her Elisa tests were very quick, dark, results when she first got sick. After immunoregulin, interferon, holistic supplements,
I don't know this Black Cat personally but I'd like it if people could pray
to keep it's soul rested. On my way to work this morning and was driving along
the motorway when I saw a black furball rolling - then it moved. It was a black
kittie just been hit and it was trying to run off but
How awful! I hate that.
May Black Cat rest peacefully.

Oh Michelle,
How awful for you, and the Black Cat.
Dear Angels,
Please take this Black Cat quickly, gently, and lovingly
deep into your arms. Bring it peace, comfort, joy, love,
and it's own set of wings.
Thank you from everyone who cares.

I have been following this thread and wanted to say something, but I can
not figure out what it is that I want to say. I have longed for a sign
from mine also, and fear that the lack of a sign means either that there is
nothing after death or that they are mad at me for what I did or did
Dear Friends:
I'm wading thru a multitude of posts, and I know this is late in coming,
but wanted to add a note from my experience.
Bonnie, I know you've started the Epogen by now and all is well. I would
have suggested that yes, you wait until you could watch Fu before starting. They

Nina, you must think I am such a basket case. While I do get very
worried, I am not sure I keep my cool any less than most of us on this list. I
just love my babies and have been through a lot in the last few years, so I get
nervous at signs of illness.
