Wonderful, Kelley, glad to hear the good news, and great price. Wish she was
closer to me.

It was very different from a traditional vet visit. No exam tables - just
cushions on the floor. She gave coco a very thorough exam with plenty of time

Thanks, I would appreciate the info. WOW, $140 a shot is OUTRAGEOUS. When I
started looking into it the shots were $50 to $65 (I think that was about
double what the original company was charging)and I just saw a recent post
where
I am taking my kitten, Tommy, to a holistic vet this morning. After
speaking with her yesterday, I am very encouraged! Like some of you
have told me, she said that a separation would be too stressful on
ALL of the cats, which is the worst thing for their little immune
systems.

Oh, so you have him on the Immulan! My holistic vet gave me info on
that, but has never used it before, so I am still thinking about
it. Would you mind sharing cost info with me?
Tommy was started on two new medicines - DMG to boost his immune
system, and a homeopathic mixture
good results with Feline Leukemia
patients. They have documented studies. These seem to be bringing his

Gary,
You are right about the studies not being long enough. The company is still
testing the drug. It may be possible though your vet to get it as part of a
trial. I have no idea what is involved. I have heard from someone on another
group that her vet used to be in the trial for immulan and he
not all snake oil is good snake oil.
see where the data comes from, and whether or not the studies, and
trials meet scientific criteria before taking the word of any manufacturer
of ANYTHING. think pet food.

Hope it all helps Gray Kitty get better. If you know of any specific studies
done on LTCI and where one could look
very greedy or your vet is making a handsome profit for
giving a shot.
