Extracting parts from a .pdf is impossible AFAIK.
I see only two solutions:
1. scanning the pdf doc to an XML file and import this into a new
Finale file, thus making a new score or
2. another hard way: remake the whole thing from scratch by hand.

On a Mac all you need is the system software:
1. Open PDF.
2. Choose print.
3. In the Print dialog choose the page (or page range) you want.
4. Choose Save as PDF.

I have the Wacom Intuos II, and use it for some tasks in Finale. It's
great for stretching slurs and lines and moving objects more
