Good question. It seems like barlines
In Fin12 (and perhaps Fin11), MM capriciously changed the behavior of group
barlines so that they can no longer override the measure barline if the
group contains only one staff on a given system.
It is possible to achieve the desired effect by adding an empty hidden
staff to the group in the

it.)
I'd like to reset all of the expression baselines for the whole document.
Every staff on every score system. I don't see a reset command anywhere.
Is there one? Have I missed it? Is there a plug-in that will do this?
in expression tool, see those triangles on the left side of the page?
drag the leftmost one downrds, i am not sure there is a way to
specify yourself exactly how much to move it, i think you just have
to eye it.

Hi Ryan,
Expression tool menu - Set Above Staff or Below Staff baselines. Use the
triangles at the left of the staff. The leftmost triangle controls the whole
document.

If you have selected the menu bar to show - the above and below staff distances
show in the menu bar at the top of the window in whatever units you have chosen

Yes, I know how to adjust them all and I have made adjustments. I want to
reset them all so that all the triangles are at the same level now. I'm
hoping for one command that will reset them all at once so that I don't
have to go through hundreds of systems and staves.

Ryan,
Am I misunderstanding this? Pick one staff, drag all the triangles to the
level of the leftmost, then drag the leftmost to the distance you want. As far
as I know, it is now done for the entire document. Maybe I'm missing something
but my understanding is: Leftmost triangle = document
Yes, that's the way it works, but the 3rd triangle only moves that
particular staff on that system. I can move that one on system 1, but
system 2 isn't affected, nor are any other staves that have had the
triangles moved. I'm looking for a way to line up all the triangles on all
the staves all at
Aha! I think you are right. Once you have moved triangle 3, that baseline is
set for that staff on that line on that page, and I do not know of a way to
reset this globally. I hadn't considered that circumstance. I don't think
anything happens when you drag that triangle in scroll view.

Select All, then TGTools - Lyrics - Adjustments, Baselines -
Baseline 1 - Check both items, Go.
Works in F2011.

Thanks Dennis, but that only adjusts lyric baselines. I want to adjust
expression baselines.

Oh, duh, I saw 'baselines' and read right past 'expressions'.

Adjusting the 3rd triangle in scroll view doesn't seem to reset the whole
score once you switch back to page view.

Just received word from MakeMusic tech support that there is no global
reset of expression baselines available. They put in a feature request.

Yeah, that's what I thought. It does seem as if it would be a useful
additional function to add that feature, but the individual staff offset
doesn't show in scroll view, so I'm not sure how that might be implemented.

OK, now we know. Even though I've never encountered a situation where I've

Sorry for coming so late to this thread but I do this all the time with
TGTools ModifyAlign/Move. Click on the Main tab and click the radio
button set value on the right then put -22 EVPUs or any other number
into the Move vertically box. Be sure the other tabs are set correctly
like if you do not
That moves all expressions though. I only want the expressions above the
staff to move.

You just need to go into the What tab and deselect below and select
above staff? When you go to the Move vertically box put in a large
positive number.
