The easiest thing to do is use DHCP reservation in your router. This way when
you boot the radio the router will see the MAC address of the radio and assign
it the same IP all the time.
Look in the manual for your router for instructions.

I have a Icom IC-8000H Dstar dual band that I would sell so I could get a

would work great on 2 meters on all modes depending on the model with a

Standard 5000a available. 2nd RX and ATU can be field or factory added if
desired. 5000a will work splits on same band without 2nd Rx Works great. Will

Check the Drive slider control setting. Default value is 50% which yields about
48 watts. Increase it to 100 % for full output.

it. There may be a PSDR bug that timed sleep causes database
corruption. There sure are a ton of bugs in PSDR so it wouldn't shock me.
If it happens again I will reset the database. Should back it up
now while all is well.

I have a 5000 and love it. As for continuing support, there is NO question
that FlexRadio continues to support this model. I just had an in-warrantee
service completed in very short turnaround time. PwrSDR is supported as
evidenced by the most recent software update -- after
AA6YQ comments below

You may also want to connect an RS 232C cable from KPA500 RS232(PC) to a
serial port on your computer.
You can use the Utility program or DDUtil to control most features of the
KPA500.
DDUtil can be set up to control the power out of the Flex 5000 to avoid an
overdrive fault.

maintaining DOS machines to run a favorite DOS-only
application, e.g. K6STI's RITTY. Twenty years from now, there will be plenty of
PCs running Windows XP and Windows 7.
