It's the CAT menu, Reggie. Remember to be in DIGI mode and have the CAT
configured both on SDR AND MixW.
I keep having the same problem (remembering how to do it) every time I reset
the database. So I go back to the manual and follow the instructions
step-by-step.

That is the way it is supposed to be. PA config values are in the

I was about to post this question on the HRD reflector, but decided to try
here first to see if anyone else has this issue first. This issue is
probably unique to PowerSDR and/or ComOCom and VAC with Ham Radio Deluxe.

Is the 3000 the same? Well they both do PSK31 and all of the other

Yes, no need for soundcard with F3K. It does all digital modes. I am
running MixW and WSJT with my F3K.The modes are more of a function of
integration with the Power SDR software which runs the F3K/F5K.

John,
I have seen these freezes also using the same configuration. I'm new
to HRD (and PSK and Flex) so I can't say if it was different before.
The DM780 waterfall freezes for a second or so, then quickly catches up.
As far as I can tell, it doesn't lose any text. I haven't noticed if

The freezes with the beta version of HRD have been reported by others. If it

looks like you're correct. In fact the text, the PowerSDR setting and the
MixW setting all coincide. Figure 159 in page 159 (167) is the other way
around.
Needless to say the output audio cable from PowerSDR should be the input
cable to MixW and vice versa.
Thanks for spotting.

Dave,
Yes, both the FLEX-5000 and the FLEX-3000 have built-in A/D D/A
convertors. This was the function that was provided by the sound card for
the SDR-1000.
Both the FLEX-5000 and the FLEX-3000 run the same software, PowerSDR.
Therefore both radios have the same capabilities, except for those

The answer to your question is that it is not applicable to the FLEX0-3000
since you do not have a full duplex radio or a second receiver.

Well, strictly speaking you don't NEED to use VAC. You can still use
actual cables to connect the rig to a computer soundcard.

I upgraded from PowerSDR 1.18.1 to 1.18.2 this evening. After I

Gary,
I just looked at your report. You chose Replace Tables instead of

problem with the CAT settings not transferring is a known problem that I am

I found a problem in the setup data for my SDRDataTransfer utility that
prevented some of the CAT settings to be transferred. The problem has been
fixed.
