I am writing my own FDM, is there an API that I can use so I
can use Flight Gear as my front end?
Thanks,
Matt

, that sounds useful - where can I find these plans?
If you can't find them online, try your local airfield/flying club. They'll probably
allow you to photocopy their AIP for the airfield(s) you're interested in.

Hahaha!
Aeromatic is *for* the end user. The next simplest thing would be to
fly to wherever the user is and hold their hand as they type.

Is there a way to have specular effects on the models in FG? Using Blender or AC3D? I
suppose there is some Plib issue but I thought I'd ask...
Thanks,

Can this be specified per object or in the header for the entire model?
I just wondered if there was a rason that the aircraft models in FlightGear aren't
very 'shiny'. Thats not a slant on the respective authors BTW, :-)
Thanks,
Matt.

Congratulations! Had no doubts...
For an IFR interested VFR student, what's an MDA, and what does it mean to
bust it by 20 ft? I'd guess at minimum designated altitude?
Maybe if I ask enough questions, I'll have you on the road to CFI/CFII...

Thanks for the explanation, David. From everything I've heard so far about IFR
flying, it's a game of Simon Says. And Simon's on various frequencies that
you need to keep up with.

From what I can tell, you know your stuff. No luck necessary. Go get the
certificate you've worked so hard to earn. Just promise a full report
that even us VFR people can understand.
Best of luck anyway. ;)

Any application here? Or is there too much to capture and save? (Or
does an existing log file already have this?)
