As an interim measure, we decided to produce the FO file separately with
another parser (I wont tell you which one, it will only make you cross) and
send this straight to FOP. This brought the total rendering time down from
30 seconds to about 17 seconds, which exceeds the saving observed by Weiqi
Hello
I want to integrate saxon instead of xalan. I've downloaded saxon 6.4.3.
After I put the saxon.jar into the lib directory and deleted
xalan-2.0.0.jar.
If I start fop (command line) I get the following error message:
using SAX parser org.apache.xerces.parsers.SAXParser

Could it have something to do with the fact that Saxon ships with a modified
version of Aelfred? Just a guess...

Hi,
I have a table (4 columns), with the first row spanned to put the title.
The title is centered and I'd like to add a logo (an image) in this title
row at the left. I did this:
The image is at the left side but the title is not centered anymore. Also,

I have the same issue with FOP 0.19. If anyone can figure this out, please
post it so I can get a copy of the solution too.

We'll make wild guesses and get cross anyway. You are using MSXML,
right? :) [No need to an

I have found a problem with page breaks. ie. break-before and break-after.
Due to changes in block where it now uses the property manager it no longer
handles the page breaks properly.
It works if the block is directly under the flow but not for nested blocks.

Hi Mark,
I had a question on the Driver class which you
modified. Is there any particular reason why
"addPropertyList" call in the setupDefaultMappings()
method was taken out.
Thanks,

Hi Mark,
I have been testing your memory patch and it seems to
work great. One problem though, in your clean up
process I think you cleaned little too much...I
noticed that the "PropertyMapping" files have been
deleted. As a result the bookmarks feature of the PDF
is missing.
I would appreciate
Jim,
Is it possible for you to test with the latest CVS version of FOP? If
not, there will soon be a 0.20 release. I've done some more work on
tables since the 0.19 release jar so perhaps it will work better. If
not, please write again, with an example if possible.
Thanks,
Karen

Hi again Arved,
What may make this fairly easy is the fact that the PropertyList object
has its own parent reference, to its parent PropertyList. This is set in
the constructor for the PropertyList. Except when changing namespaces,
it's set to the property list of the FO parent object. Property

Hi Tore,
Great, I checked it again too (without the hack I had put in..) and it
works. The table bug reported was actually fixed already, but I was
seeing a kind of empty row on the top of last page which is now gone.
How nice when we can make bugs go away!

Oops, I just realized I commented out my hack, but didn't save before
building. In fact the "empty table row" is still there. Can't win 'em
all.

Hi all,
First up, I discovered this problem using the CVS version of FOP last
updated about 2001-07-25 02:00 UTC.
I have a table of about 4 columns and two sorts of rows. The first type is a
heading row with all four cells containing text (or an image) of different
heights with display-align="af

Ok, I've setup a Type1 and TTF barcode font for use with FOP... updated
userconfig.xml... and have a servlet that is serving up PDF documents via
FOP. My FO document has some barcode font references. How do

Hi, Karen
OK, if you're going on vacation please don't spend too much time on this. :-)
Apart from maybe during travel. I can take a look at what is going on too,
based on your pointers so far. You make it sound fairly simple.
