Hi People I'm having problems with context rules not being executed as expected. I'm probably doing something obviously wrong, but it's not obvious to me. I have the following rule, which is incomplete at present: Element (Container): TitleBody General rule: TEXT, IndexTerm? Text format rules

Niels, Let's say the text you copy-specialed the character format from was body text. Let's say it's 11-pt Times bold. If you do search-and-replace on any bold text, and you have bold in your 10-pt tables and your 9-point footnotes and your 11-point Arial captions and your 12-point Arial

Hello Bob and fellow framers, there is a quicker way for the last part the process you described: ...rename the tag to the appropriate character format in your template, then reimport your template, then delete the charfmt tags from your catalog. It's a GREAT plug-in called TemplateMapper.

The problem with this approach is that when you choose Edit > Copy Special > Character Format, it copies ALL of the formatting of the selected text, not just those of the character format applied to it. When you replace by pasting, you will be pasting more than just the character format's

Hi Rick, I don't see the problem. If I Copy Special a Char Format, say the Emphasis format, and replace a bolded text by pasting the Char Format, then the text is stamped with the Emphasis format - the bold goes away, and the text is emphasized. If you later change the format, then the
