1. Just using FM, no. I use a plug-in, Index Tools Professional (http://www.siliconprairiesoftware.com/Products.html) to let me use variables in the index entries. It's US$20, I believe. 2. Don't think so, but I suspect that FrameScript could change the path throughout a book to link to files

Hi David... Neither of those are possible with default Frame. We do have a plugin, MarkerTools, that lets you use variables within markers .. http://www.leximation.com/tools/info/markertools.php That's an interesting idea of changing the path for references based on a variable's value ..
