I am looking at upgrading from Frame 7.0/7.1, Acrobat 7.0 Pro to Frame 8.0and Acrobat 8.0 Pro. Our output is 90% pdf, but we do use ePub Pro for our online help conversions. I see that some of you are having problems with Frame 8 Can you comment on your experiences? Is an upgrade worth it?

Hi Framers, I work together with a technical writer in China. Her source files are Word; so her FM files have Chinese fonts that were imported along with the text. How can I replace these fonts with fonts I have installed.on my computer and then remove all the fonts I don't have from the book?

Are you cleaning the Word files of hidden Word characters after opening them in FM (by saving as MIF and opening those)? Assuming that you and the other writer work from a common template, doesn't Importing Formats from one of your files reconcile the fonts? You could try selecting all the text

Hi Kanti, You can also add a "Show me" link by means of a hyperlink. You can put this hyperlink on text or on a "Show me" button. The hypertext command looks like this: message openfile my_flash_demo.swf If you click this hyperlink in your PDF, the Flash movie will be opened in its own window.
