My workaround has been to make lines (.5pt) in Cyan and then delete them when I have finished aligning to them. A more dangerous approach would be to apply a special color tag to the lines that you could then change to white or your background color. I would add guides to the wishlist for next

I have a client importing a .mif and she is getting an error: Line 2488 # Char out of range: 13. This I believe is causing frame to crash on her PC. This looks like information coming into a table. I opened the file on an OS9 mac and was able to see what the error was and import the mif

FrameMaker 8 continues to support use of Type 1 fonts (I assume that is what you mean by PS fonts) as well as TrueType and OpenType fonts. The character set of the Type 1 fonts are mapped into Unicode. You don't say what type of font errors you are getting (missing fonts? mismapped characters?
