I would use Richard's solution for simple importing, but one of the
leading FrameScript gurus, Rick Quatro, just released a more
sophisticated solution for importing from a database. Although Rick's
example uses a tab-delimited file, a csv is the same type.

Hi all,
Is there a way to import csv files into Frame 8 in a way that allows them to
display correctly? I'm looking at the OLE options, but I don't see a good
one for this type of file. Thanks,
Joel
Best of luck, Deirdre. I've been there more times than I care to count. You may
be surprised, though; knowing FM could open doors that you didn't perceive
before.

CSV is really just a text file. Try changing the extension to .txt.
After it's in FM you should be able to convert it to a table.

You are currently subscribed to Framers as arch.
What I've done is set up the anchored frame in AutoText. Set to Outside
Text Frame and Side farther from binding. In the frame I've put a line
that is the same colour and width as Frame's change bars, and the same
distance from the text. The Aframe is only about 1cm square, but the

My thanks to Richard Combs and Fred Ridder for their help. I found out that I

reason, when I installed my Frame8, Adobe PDF did not tag along...

Hi Linda,
That only puts a short bar with the paragraph and does not extend the
full length of the anchored frame. Which is the really annoying thing.
This is what I have suggested and seems to have got around the problem
unless something better emerges:

Hi Jeff...
DITA-FMx supports any number of index levels. The 1.1 version (still in
beta) also provides complete control over the formatting and layout of
your see and see-also entries (in addition to many other authoring and

This is a possible solution to my problem below.
Is there a variable/building block that allows me to use the Marker Text that
can be entered into the Marker dialog instead of the standard set
(,...) that reads the paragraph text and places that into the cross
reference in the list?
Here's hoping
I'd be interested to find out about this too. I've always put change
bars on graphics manually (a line in an anchored frame). Does mean I
have to remember to remove them later, but not too much of a problem.

Hi all,
This request has come in from a client:
"How do I get change bars to appear alongside graphics/anchored
frames? The help file indicates they should appear automatically (when
set) against non-referenced graphics but I can?t get this to happen.
All my graphics are in anchored frames."
