I don't believe there has been any change in that behavior. People with FM11
have reported the usual problems.

Not saying your analysis is wrong, but I've run into similar problems that
were caused by network slowdowns/overloads, and another time it was caused
by local anti-virus checkers taking their time to check files coming in
from the network -- like your graphics files. So it may be totally
unrelated
