Sorry for the long silence on this - been busy.
I'm not certain, but I think this message only started when I installed

I only get the message when opening FM6.

Good points, Mike. Let's not forget that devil reverse type (drives me crazy

This discussion has brought to mind a couple of points of usage.
First, the property is (or should be) referred to as "endianness," with two
n's.
An endianess is a female endian.
Second, since there is no country called "Endia," there is no need to
capitalize
little- or big-endian.
Thank you

The elegant way to do it is to create a second template with the
proper page sizes and use that for the 11x17 size. If you need to
intermingle the pages in a book, you can do that by setting up the
book numbering properties to treat multiple files as a single chapter.

Have you had a look at all your Master Pages? There might be one that
you are not using but is assigned to text flow (A).

I've enjoyed reading all the input on this thread, and I had a few more

If I add the master page and then use Format/Page Layout/Page Size, and change

Thanks.

The item that I thought of that may cause a slow-down is not your
local config as much as if all those files and insets are across the
network on one or more servers. If they're all open, and you're
performing a file-intensive operation, you're going to be using up a

Nancy,
As far as I know, you need to create a separate file for each different
size master page. You can't mix master page sizes in a file.

I had my heading paragraph tags on a reference page for easy global
updating of JUST the heading tags.
That reference page flow did NOT have side heads. Now it does.
