Hi group
I'm using Fm 11.0.1, Windows XP.
I've got white text in a table cell with shading. When I create a CMYK PDF,
the white text is gone. The white text is still visible in the RGB PDF, but
creating an RGB PDF is not an option because I need to create a Certified
PDF (for offset printing).

Checklists are an extremely useful tool when consistency and completeness of
a complex task are required. Interactive checklists provide the

Hi Richard,
Thanks. Yes, of course, we have the condition tags. However, the issue here is
how we use them to (as I said) 'mimic' the presentation of our 'old' help.

There is no clean or easy workflow. You are doing and have the best of
recommendations.
One wonders if they would use the same process of amateurish meddling with with
brain surgery?

A couple of points
- I wouldn't work with the Word files at all if you have any other
options. RTF would be the way to go.
- You should have the option to open the RTFs in Frame using the
Japanese RTF import filter. It's more robust than the English RTF filter.
Try that...

Thanks to all who replied, it's genuinely good to know there isn't a
magically simple way to do this that I was unaware of. If the
import filters are more robust, we definitely should look into
upgrading -- we hadn't so far because as non-structured users we

I'm trying to generate a PDF of my document. The book includes several
fm documents distributed through several folders.
Each folder is a chapter and, except for the 1st in each chapter which
starts with a ChapterTitle paragraph (starts top of page). Each fm in

I am using Robohelp 10 to develop a compiled HTML Help system on a Widows 7
system. I am trying to include three short video clips in one topic.
Thus far, I am unable to determine what format of video will survive the
compilation of Robohelp into HTML Help. I have tried wmv, avi, and MP4
I see extreme page breaks (as on p177 of the PDF), but no empty pages. Are you
trying to get the pages to concatenate?
If so, I recommend combining the files into one FM file per chapter. There's no
way to have a new FM file start at the end of the previous file without
creating a text inset.
Ah, if I understand correctly, the problem is with your FM pagination settings. Your files may need to have Format Page Layout Pagination settings changed to Don't Change Page Count. I'm not sure whether Double or Single-Sided is best for your purposes…your mileage may vary!

The file dates on the import filters have changed, but the menu
choices have not, still includes Word 2007, which has been there since
FM8. Adobe claims no improvements, and as of FM10 I haven't seen any.

There are a bunch of issues about that on the adobe.com RoboHelp

For Double Sided documents, setting you 1st page to Right will ALWAYS add a
blank left page to the previous file if that file ends on the right page. If
you don't want that to happen used these settings:1st Page Side: Next

). Is anyone else seeing this?
