On Windows 7, FM 9, fully patched, considering upgrading to 10 but
nothing imminent.
For years we've produced both compressed and uncompressed HTML help,
most of it created manually in a good editor. We've purposely stayed
away from third-party conversion utilities, mostly so that

expect, and the output that you need the help system to be in. It also
depends on what software you currently have. I am assuming your criteria is
1) inexpensive and 2) low learning curve 3) can generate a help

I'd second Joseph's assessment.
I use both RH as part of the TCS and MIF2Go -- RH produces nicer
looking files more quickly because it has nice templates, but MIF2Go
is much more stable and bulletproof.
