It doesn't really matter which way you go

Finally found a solution going through the Acrobat Windows user to user

the same or similar thing happening with some Acro Pro 8 installations
(which all shut down within 10 seconds without warning).

"Supposed to be" could be argued, but it certainly is the way
things *are*. Text insets are treated as black boxes by the
Find/Change operation. You can search for them as a type
of object, but you cannot search for text strings within
those referenced objects from the containing document.

Hello Framers:
Can an element be a container and a system variable at the same time? I
would like to generate the Chapter-Section-Subject in the footer of the page
from the
attributes of the subject element.
If this is possible an example would be appreciated.
Thanks.

For general menu access, I also prefer the old Windows (DOS?) Alt key
shortcut over any similar Esc shortcuts. It is easier to remember and it
works in virtually any program.

Has anyone run across a tool that can represent, graphically, the
nesting of levels of elements and sub-elements within a DTD file? It
doesn't need to provide editing capability, although that would be
nice -- I'm looking more for a nice graphic.
Thanks,

Actually, I downloaded that just before I posted...
Is there a switch or display option to get it to display the DTD in
nested format? It's displaying as a flat file on my system, but I have
only played with the program for 20 minutes or so...
Thanks,
Art

Thanks for the pointer, Kay!

Every now and then I get stuck with one of those auto-generated
paragraphs that appears after a text inset that refuses to cooperate
with being retagged for the subsequent paragraph and can't even be
deleted. As a last resort, I recently converted a file with this
