[Framers] ANN: TC Camp Workshop Survey
Are you in the SF Bay area (or want to visit in early March)? It's that time of year again .. starting to plan for TC Camp. This year we're looking at March 2, 2019 (or possibly the week before or after). First thing to do is nail down the Saturday morning workshop topics so we can find the right people to deliver those sessions. If you're interested in attending, please complete this very short survey .. http://survey.tccamp.org In order for TC Camp to be a success, we rely on volunteers. If you're interested in helping out, please contact us at . If you've never been to camp, and want to learn more, check out the video on our home page (scroll down a bit) .. http://tccamp.org I look forward to seeing you at camp! Thanks, Scott Prentice CEO, TC Camp, Inc. ___ This message is from the Framers mailing list Send messages to framers@lists.frameusers.com Visit the list's homepage at http://www.frameusers.com Archives located at http://www.mail-archive.com/framers%40lists.frameusers.com/ Subscribe and unsubscribe at http://lists.frameusers.com/listinfo.cgi/framers-frameusers.com Send administrative questions to listad...@frameusers.com
Re: [Framers] Has anyone received Adobe email "Just Launched: Adobe Tech Comm Product Survey 2015!"?
I received notice of this survey January 5, 2016. When I attempted to access the survey, I got a message that I had already completed it. I emailed Saibal Bhattacharjee (Adobe) and asked about it because I didn't remember completing the survey. Turns out, I completed it in October 2015... Just wondering if it was sent out again by mistake? __ Carole McCormick Technical Writer Sun Nuclear Corporation -Original Message- From: Simon BUCH [mailto:simon.b...@m-ais.com] Sent: Wednesday, January 13, 2016 09:00 To: Framers Subject: [Framers] Has anyone received Adobe email "Just Launched: Adobe Tech Comm Product Survey 2015!"? RE: Adobe Tech Comm Content Strategy and Tools Survey
Hello Everyone, This is Kapil Verma, Sr. Product Manager at Adobe. First of all, apologies to those who faced a crash while filling out the survey. Just to quickly update you all on the issue. After we heard about it from a few respondents, the team did look into this issue, isolated it and has fixed it. They found that it was a random issue, which impacted some users, while others were able to fill out the survey. Furthermore, since the issue was fixed, we haven't heard any survey crashes being reported. So, it should work fine for you. Few other things * if you encountered a crash earlier, you should be able to re-login to the survey (with the email and password you specified at the beginning) and complete the survey. Your answers should have been saved. * If you still face an issue, please email me and we will get this looked into We look forward to hearing your feedback on our products and understanding from you how content workflows are evolving in your organization. Thanks in advance for filling out the survey. Hi Alan, In the paragraph above it says: We will be announcing the winners during the week of 7th October 2013. The Winners will be notified by email. If a potential Winner cannot be contacted, is contacted and does not respond as directed within the time allotted following attempted notification, refuses the prize or is ineligible to accept the prize, or if the attempted prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Winner to be chosen by another random draw. So the winners are contacted. Survey about the impact of cloud technology on knowledge workers
Hi Robert - The reason there are some questions about mobile apps, smartphones, and tablets within the survey is that we are studying all aspects of cloud and mobile computing within a single, unified survey for our entire capstone course. Some folks are focusing on handheld devices, some are focusing on cloud-based data, and Heidi and I are focusing on cloud-based applications (like Salesforce). Hope that helps to clarify why certain questions came up during the survey. D On 7/5/2012 1:29 PM, Robert Lauriston wrote: > There seem to be some false assumptions in there. Survey: Considerations for Using DITA (plain text version)
I apologize to those of you who were not able to read the HTML version of this message sent the other day. I hope this one is more readable. --Lynne Survey: Considerations for Using DITA To help potential users decide whether to use DITA and how much effort doing so would involve, Text Structure Consulting, Inc. is conducting a survey to better understand the documentation projects for which DITA is appropriate. If you are using or considering DITA (or have done so), please take the time to share your experience by completing the survey. Partial and anonymous responses are welcome. You can send your response (embedded in an email message, in Microsoft Word, RTF, Adobe FrameMaker, or PDF) to <mailto:dita.sur...@txstruct.com>dita.sur...@txstruct.com. If you prefer to answer by phone, you can write to the same address to schedule an interview. Please forward the survey to other documentation professionals you know who might like to participate. If you are involved in multiple relevant projects or would like to add to an earlier response, feel free to complete the survey multiple times. Answers from different people working on the same project will gladly be received. Since the survey is being distributed largely by forwarded email, statistically significant results are not expected. Nevertheless, survey responses should help existing users re-evaluate their projects and possibly learn about new tools, potential users evaluate the relevance of DITA, and consultants decide when to recommend it. If an interesting number of responses are received, the results will be summarized on www.txstruct.com and submitted for possible presentation at Balisage: The Markup Conference in early August, 2010 (see www.balisage.org). If at all possible, please respond by June 15 so that information can be prepared for the conference. The survey questions are available at: <http://www.txstruct.com/dita.survey/questions.htm>http://www.txstruct.com/dita.survey/questions.htm and are repeated here: Personal Identification 1. Is authoring geographically distributed? 18. How are editing tasks assigned to individual writers or editors? For example, is a writer responsible for a document or document component through multiple revisions, or is an available writer assigned whenever a change is needed? Do writers need specific expertise, such as knowledge of a documented product, to maintain particular pieces of content? 19. Do you reuse all or parts or your documents? What size units do you reuse? In how many documents does a typical reusable component occur? What percentage of a typical document is comprised of reusable segments? DITA Considerations 20.
