Hi Frameworks,
I purchased an Elf projector some time ago and I discovered that it was missing
some belts (two I think). Here is a link to some pictures:

Can anyone tell me what belts I need to
During the dismantling of the Millennium Theatre, a few copies of Millennium
Film Journal No 1 (1978) emerged. This issue, from 1978, has been unavailable
for decades. It includes articles by P. Adams Sitney, Noel Carroll and Jean
Vigo.
The complete table of contents is at
You're missing the round shutter pulley belt. The two grooves in the pulley
is to switch film speed or 50/60 Hz.
From the state of the main drive belt, I'd replace that as well. You mind
as well replace all belts with a whole new set, including the
feed and take-up.
Where are you located?
Thanks!
I'm located in the UK, ideally it would be great to find some from around here.
I found this:
It appears your projector needs five belts, but you should check the
picture against your machine to verify.
The eBay listing does not say anything about the main drive belt, which
is the timing belt with teeth, the one you
have is discolored and turning yellow-brown.

Hello all,
I need some lab work done and I'm wondering if anyone has any feedback to
report about Fotokem in LA (or New York for that matter).
I need 16mm b/w negative processing, work printing and uncompressed quicktime
transfer.
Thanks for any and all feedback about Fotokem.

How about Cinelab (New Bedford, MA) or Alpha Cine (Seattle). Both do fine
B/W processing and printing.
As for your uncompressed Quicktime, are you talking Apple ProRes HQ scanned
1920x1080 or 2K (pillarbox)?

I have been using Foto-kem for about a year for both color and black
and white. I have found them to be fast and reliable, many times I
have sent them odd film stocks and asked them to process them in odd
ways and they have always done it, and if any questions came up they
contacted me
Bought a set from them recently, I’m sure it’s what you want and they despatch
promptly.

Hi folks,
I have started using 'found' commercial film leaders in my work, and
am wondering if list members can point me to any existing films where
the maker has used a comparable approach. I'm also fascinated with the
purposes of these 'paratextual' markings (eg 'SMTP'; 'end of picture';
'Your Film and The Lab' by L.Bernard Happe in the Focal Press 'Media

You should watch Guy Sherwin's film At the Academy. Wilhelm and Birgit Hein
