I cvsup'ed about 3:00am PST Mar 5 and started a make buildworld before
going to bed. When I got up, I did an installworld and recompiled
the kernel, which now hangs right after detecting my ATAPI cdrom
drive. Normally the next probe message is Waiting for SCSI devices
to settle but now it hangs

driver, whereas the newer driver automatically decided to use ad0 and
