portsnap-server/mirror? Or is the only way to setup some kind of proxy?

first and after the first update, install compat6x. Regardless, you
may be able to recover by doing 'freebsd-update rollback'. That will
undo the most recent changes and hopefully get you a

and install of the kernel went fine, then I reran freebsd-update after
rebooting to get the userland stuff. Midway through installing updates,

Hello,
I have updated my server yesterday from 5.5 to 6.3 using the cvsup
classical method.
Everything went fine but I forgot to deploy an SMP kernel :-(
Is there a way to deploy a 6.3 SMP using freebsd-update method (which
is fantastic).

Several weeks ago I tried to change the way my FreeBSD servers are updated.
Instead of the lengthy procedure of building FreeBSD from sources,
I tried to use freebsd-update.
On two of the servers, I ran into a problem. Obviously GENERIC kernel
with ipfw module loaded couldn

Yes, this is because the update from 6.2-RELEASE-p4 to 6.2-RELEASE-p5 didn't
modify the kernel.
