Metacity is simply a window manager; like twm, afterstep, blackbox,
etc. It is responsible for drawing the window decorations (title bars,
window handles, etc.).

Somehow your Mozilla is being configured incorrectly. Make sure your
/usr/ports/Mk directory is up-to-date, then do a make clean in the
mozilla directory, and try to rebuild. It shouldn't be looking for
-lglib, but rather -lglib12.

They have. I waited quite a long time before removing pspell.
Everything should work. In a commit message from a week or so ago, I
mentioned that in order to update to aspell correctly you need to first
but that can't be the only way of doing it.

Make sure you have:

The only similarity I see between the two is esound. Both can use it.
If you're using esound in xmms, try changing the output plugin to OSS,
and see if things start to work.

Either cvsup your ports tree to the latest, or edit gimp-devel's
Makefile, and change gimpprint.
Evolution is a GNOME 1 application, and thus does not natively support
anti-aliasing. However, if you want to try something unsupported, you
can install x11/gdkxft, and see if you can get it to work. A GNOME 2
version of Evolution is in the works.

Sure. Look at the examples in the mozilla Makefile for adding calendar

If this is on -CURRENT, you will need to do a portupgrade -Rf
evolution. This is because so many of the ABIs changed on the road to

You need to do a portupgrade -rf Xft to really fix this.

You missed my HEADS UP. In order to properly recover after the recent
Xft upgrade, you need to do a portupgrade -rf Xft. Yes, this takes an
exceptionally long time, but things like this are rare, and it's really
the only wa

What graphics card are you using? What version of XFree86-Server do you
have installed? Did you install GNOME 2 from ports or package
having anti-aliased fonts in Mozilla, add
WITH_XFT=yes to /etc/make.conf, then rebuild Mozilla.

gnome-session is included in the gnomesession package. Do you have that
installed? If so, what version?

What font ports/packages do you have installed? Can you send the output
of pkg_info? Have you tried rebuilding galeon with debugging symbols to
caputre a backtrace?
