libGL error
Hi people I am using a radeon 9200 128MB in my FreeBSD 6.0BETA4 working perfect i am using DRM :-).the output of glxinfo said direct rendering: Yes and i have a lot of FPS with glxgears. but i am using a program(pymol to see molecules etc) that is using indirect render not direct renderand then is very slow.. the program use indirect rendering because this error tha i saw when put the enviroment variable LIBGL_DEBUG to verbose libGL error: dlopen /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r200_dri.so failed (/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri/r200_dri.so: Undefined symbol _glapi_Dispatch) libGL error: unable to find driver: r200_dri.so other programs like VMD(similar to pymol) works with dirent renderin without problem. Hi .. i am using gdesklets but i ahva a little problem with the Calendar desklet.Clock works perfect when i trt to launch the calendar gdesklet i got this error Could not find sensor 'Calendar' /usr/X11R6/share/gnome/gdesklets/Displays/Calendar/Calendar.display A sensor could not be found. dhcp client in freebsd 6 beta

pax question
Hi people i want do backup of my home directory (some days ago i had a terrible accident with my hdd and i don't have backups of my files :-( ) now i am using or trying to use pax.this is what i did. in the crontab i put this 0 6 1 * * rootpax -wzf /160GB/backups/$filename /home/osmany/ where filename is the date of the backup and 50 23 * * * rootpax -T -wzf /160GB/backups/$filename /home/osmany/ where filename is the date of the backup plus delta word. all this work perfect. hmm this work without problem but i want to know if there are a better way to do my backups. i'm not sure that this was perfect ... nfs server amd problems

I have similar problems with gnome for example totem, sound juicer ,can't find any optical drives. Hi people I recently installed gnochm via ports(building) and the compilation and installation was sucefully but alway a but :-) i get this error when i try to run it. %gnochm You do not have all of the required Python modules to run gnochm. Check the gnochm README file for tips on how to fix this. What follows is the error description highlighting the problematic module. No module named gtkhtml2 I install the port via portupgrade(-R) and the dependency must be solved in the README file of the source i don't find nothing...How can i solve this problem ? i think that the proble is with python modules what should i do? Dag-Erling Smorgrav has fixed a bug related to this in revision 1.2 of the file: src/contrib/cvs/src/tag.c. This seems to be a server issue. If the server running at anoncvs.freebsd.org doesn't have the fix of DES, you can try a different server I guess. Hi I am using gnome 2.8.1 with FreeBSD 5.3 STABLE and i am having problems browsing the windows network :-( I go to Network Servers in the gnome menu and i have a list of all the windwos machine in my network but when i try to access a resource shared over the network i got and error like this You don't have the permissions necessary to view the contents of Windows Network:midas but if i put in nautilius smb://midas/c$ a dialog apear asking me for user pasword domain and works without problem What should i do to browse in the windows network like in kde. I want to know if a change in the X server will affect my video drivers, i have a nvidia video card(GeForce2) i download the drivers from the nvidia site(I WANT 3D ACCELERATION!!!) for FreeBSD now my question is If y change from XFree86 to X what happens with the drivers? Ok, I found the CTM sites etc etc but in the ftp site if I want update ports and src I will go to the ports-cur folder(for example), here there is a lot of files I must select one ,which I need to know which file select for not consuming much time downloading and *Empty.gz file. The sys directory contains just the kernel sources, but the linuxthreads package needs bits of source code from the rest of the system. Most people would simply use cvsup(1) to get all of the system sources (including the kernel sources), however as that comes to about 315Mb, you may not want to download all that. [Of course, once you've got the bulk sources, then cvsup is excellent at keeping them up to date using a minimum amount of network bandwidth]. If you have installation media you should be able to install system sources from there, or you can take eg. a copy of the /usr/share/examples/cvsup/standard.supfile and edit it to only pull down the 'src-gnu' collection. flash plugin BSD vs linux
Hi people I have a little problem whith the flash plugin on my BSD box. I installed the flash plugin port whithout problem but these not work , it showme a black screen in the place of the plugin and no picture no animation no nothing :-(. i try mozilla and epiphany as browsers. i installed the linux-mozillafirebird port and the linux flash-plugin port and.. IT WORKS whitout problem .. WHY? There must be something wrong with your installation because using FreeBSD native mozilla-firefox along with the linuxpluginwrapper port allows me to see flash content just fine. Last time I checked (over 12 months ago, admittedly) the short answer was no. There were some Linux reverse engineering attempts (the interface is not public), and reports scattered about the web regarding limited success with these drivers under NetBSD and FreeBSD, but I personally never got anything working. I have 5.1 Realease and i want install mozilla-firebird, but in these realease don exist, what can ido? i found the package for the 4.8-Stable and can not install it due to dependencies whit gettext xfree_libraries . Waht should i do? How can i update my ports collection ? If so, you can cd to /usr/ports/www/mozilla-firebird and type 'make install clean' (no quotes). That should get you version 0.6, I believe. Why are you unable to cvsup? If it is because you don't have the cvsup application installed, see if you can download and install the package for it (I'd recommend choosing the cvsup-without-gui package; you can also install cvsup using the port, but that takes a very long time downloading, compiling and installing Modula-3). Once you have cvsup installed, you can use it to install/update the ports collection. If you cannot use cvsup for some other reason, you might try FTP-ing the latest ports collection. (Since I am behind a firewall without FTP access ATM, can someone tell us whether there is an FTP-able ports collection with version 0.7 of Mozilla-Firebird?) Hi I am trying to install the 5.1Release and i am havin problems with ACPI these is the message: ACPI autoload failed - inappropiated file type or format Fatal Trap 12 : page fault while in kernel mode Fault virtual address = 0x240 Fault code = supervisor read, page not present stack pointer =0x10:0xc0ae3cf4 frame pointer =0x10:0xc0ae3d38 code segment = base 0x0, limit 0x f, type 0x1b = DPL 0 , pres 1, def32 1, processor eflags= interrupt enabled, resume, IOPL=0 trap number =12 panix: page fault Uptime 1s I try in the boot menu de 2 an 3 option(disabled ACPI) and i have tha same result What should i do.
