* cleanup within inputfile.(c|h)

Since there have been many additions since the ruleset has been create (e.g.
base in the terrain.ruleset file???), it would be logical to merge all the

I tested the patch (see attached savefile). Within the gtk client airlifting
between allied cities is not possible. The airlift value for the allied
cities is not known by the client so these cities are not selected as
possible airlift targets. See
./client/gui-gtk-2.0/gotodlg.c:update_goto_dialog().

I tried to test the sdl client; it compiles but after that I have some
problems ...

Precisely to be called each loop and don't fill an island with a very few
types.  If a ruleset contains tons of terrain types, then the user would be
sad if only a very few are used in the map generation.

 you use tmap_is() and test_wetness() instead of the colatitude?
 As the temperate map is created as a dummy tmap it is equal to
 the colattitude.

Both tmap_is() and test_wetness() use the colattitude information.  But they
also allow to ignore the colattitude or check if there is ocean types
arround.

Hi,

I downloaded Freeciv beta yesterday and been playing since. Glad you guys
decided to create a free version of this game.

Anyway decided to do the tutorial as I wasn’t very successful on my first
couple of attempts and noticed the one tutorial popup says a person should
press “shift-t” for Trade instead of “ctrl-t”

Also not sure if it is a bug but every time a new turn starts I have to click
on the selected target before it will allow me to move it, every unit there
after auto selects and allows movement, just the first unit after each new
turn.

It is still very confusing.  Irrigation is mentioned.  I tested, irrigation
require a water source.  I think the correct fix would be: _(Such

The requirement for a water source for building an irrigation system is dealt
with in detail earlier in this section. The quoted paragraph is about
conversion of one terrain to another by issuing the irrigate command (e.g.,
on Forest, Jungle, or Swamp in the default ruleset), which does not require a
water source. So the stated change would not be appropriate.

I have checked the source and tried it, and converting from one terrain type
to another doesn't require a water source even if the irrigate command is
used.

This section is clearly confusing; this is the second report (cf bug #15222
as dmarks says). I'll see if I can rework the whole section to be clearer.

Is this any better?

I've tried to separate the noun irrigation system from the verb to
irrigate, which can also initiate terrain conversion, as well as being more
explicit in the troublesome paragraph.

Details:

Hi. It seems that auto-explore feature is not working, at least for Caravels
and triremes. Also,sometimes it doesn't work for Explorers.
I press the X key and suddenly an X appears on top of the unit, but no
movement, neither in following turns.

Also, would be possible that if more than a unit is auto-exploring, they move
in different directions? Because they all start moving toward the same area.
and maybe, if exploring an enemy territory, can they try to stay away from
known cities (to avoid being killed)?

I'd say the Abá should be renamed to Guaraní, they are (much) more well
known under that name.

The Unangan live both in Alaska and in Russia, so they should be categorized
not only as American but also as Asian
