I'd suggest skipping the G4's and go for an early G5 model. Pretty much everything from a single 1.6 up to a dual processor 2.0 can be had for reasonable prices now. I'd avoid any G5 that has liquid cooling. It probably won't be very much longer before even the dual core PCIe models become

I always advise people to avoid the Quicksilver. They seem to be the ones that suffer dead power supply problem. Particularly the 733mhz like I have which is now a door stop. Just go on ebay and see how many you find described as: parts only or won't power up or powers up then shuts
