got it for the firewire, not for the CD, so I opened it up and
installed a hard drive in place of the CD drive, and set the jumper to
master, which was how the CD drive was set.

Newest is most probably a 533 or 1000 MHz G3, not a G4. These may
still be available from OWC.

I have a Digital Audio G4. It has ATY,Rage128Pro for video display. It
has a VGA plug on it. I am looking at getting a widescreen monitor. A
Samsung T240 has piqued my interest but it has a DVI connector from
what I understand.
What sort of monitor should I look for in the 22 to 24 inch

install them internally in the G4. I'll check to see if Disk Utility
and System Profiler show the drive.
Ideally, I'd use this external case with drives in both Mac and PC
formats.
