G5 Repair - Next step?

Greetings all, I'd like to seek advice for those who've tread down the path I need to take. A while back I donated a G5 tower (June 2004 model, 1.8GHz DP w/ PCI slots) to a small private school. Recently I was told by the teacher that it just stopped working, so I took it in and ascertained

2012-09-16 Thread Warren Nagourney
The new iPhone 5 can no longer be used with a PPC mac, since the minimum OS is 10.6.8. I obviously have two options. Either I can submit to Apple's blackmail and buy an intel Mac that I don't need in order to use the new phone. Or, I can consider an Android phone. Frankly, I am very

Many thanks, Cameron. I tend to agree -- can't imagine having a faster computer than my G5 dual 2.3 GHz and am very annoyed at Apple for not supporting their own 5 year old OS 5 while still supporting a 10 year old Windows OS! Do you know whether the Galaxy S3 will work with a PPC mac?
