there was a seller selling sawtooth pulls tested at 600MHz overclocked.
they provided a means to change the cpu settings. if it was not jumpers,
then it was a modded cpu module.
cant remember the name... maybe i have it around here.
new items are usually 1GHz and up. slower ones are a thing of
weird name operator headgap, their website is still up,
no idea if they have the item any more.
look in the used pulls. it was cheaper than an aftermarket upgrade. maybe
$45-$60? i considered it once. price was cheap. they guaranteed it and had
replacement units in case it failed... you could

operator headgap seems to have run out of 600MHz OC'ed sawtooth cpu pulls.
you can ask, but the vendor probably has
what's the start-up window?. never seen it,
despite having worked on more than 150
g3 and g4 machines,
the G3 case is either :

2/ {a slightly greenish, translucent blue with translucent white. AKA

the early G4 case is:

a layman can learn to repair apple computers easily, as far as replacing

as long as you know what to replace.
CRT monitor components are an exception.
this repair has more in common with TV repair, and involves handling

these DIMMs are running at 100MHz (underclocked) so they perform the same.
if you could make them run at 133 the CPU would also be OC'd by 33.33% and
therefore
probably freeze up. that speed generally is beyond what the CPU can do. and
the fans can't take it.
some of the G3's can be OC'd well,
you need to buy a PRAM battery before trying this. it may be the issue with
booting. if you wont buy the battery , abandon the project. they only last 3
years, not 11.
no mac or that era will run reliably with a dead battery and startup issues
are a common
symptom.
any PATA drive will work, but
after dark wasn't frivolous. it prevented damage to the CRT, and apple
didn't offer
a similar thing... not equivalent to the app. now such things are
superfluous
because mac os has a screensaver app.
people are very attached to after dark. for one reason it was one of the few

( free app) had a visualization screensaver 10 years ago. after dark
is not needed. people just like it..
