Took the ES-500 back for refund. Now wondering what to do next. The
ES-750
didn't work during the power outtage, wonder why? It didn't pop any
warning lights
or anything to let me know there was a problem. Not buying another one

Current APC ES models will flash an LED and beep at you occasionally to
indicate a failure state, including a dead battery.

no silly questions with electronic equipment. i would say the main
cause of most of my problems are things not plugged in

Well, I can understand the annoyance but you ARE getting their low-end stuff.

I've got 3 APC ES 550s and a 350 around here. Also have a Belkin.
These are all the lower end models, I refuse to pay more than around
$50 for a UPS. All have been working fine
