Damien, thanks for helping me out, this laptop is on the brink and so a
recording would have been possible but trying to use it as little as
possible and instead use my mac full time along with my iPhone 4s and

Good idea. A lot of older games such as Rail Racer 1.x was not
designed with User Account Control in mind, and it is possible UAC is
causing the game to have problems saving or accessing files. Running
as administrator may resolve that problem.
