Hi Shanon.
the screen reader option is good, but I'm not sure about inforced rp.
There is a chap I spoke to on audiogame.snet who had been playing achaea,
got to level 20 but then literally couldn't advance without joining a
guild and to joing one he had to take an exam!

Hi all.
Park Boss is the next audio game from N A Soft where you build and run your own
amusement park.
It's currently being tested and I'm hoping to release in the next couple of
months, but until then check out the trailer Park Boss Trailer. The next
release from N A Soft.
Thanks for confirming. :( That was what I was afraid of.
Best,
Zack.

I don't guess that I ever installed any of the software that came with my

Hi Thomas,
Thank you. I do see lots of lines of code that look like they are for the left
stick. I'll have to experiment and try to get the right stick working as well.
You know there is trying to detect it, initialize it, set the ranges, assign
it and then be able to get input from it.
Hi Dark,
I don't know much about how much control iOS has over the iPhone's
vibration, but I would imagine there should be some way to control the
rate of vibration and duration. After all we are just talking a
miniature motor that vibrates and should be programmable from a
developers standpoint.
Hi Jim,
Obviously weather to use or not use force feedback is purely a matter
of personal preference. However, I will say if a gamer isn't use to it
force feedback may feel a little strange at first. Its a different
form of feedback where you, the gamer, are employing vibration as

Yeah, I can't seem to find it either. I guess it was sent to Audyssey

Hi Jim,
Yes, I'm aware of all that. The thing is the initialization code only
needs to be done once for the controller. It doesn't matter how many
sticks, buttons, and other controls are on it as all of that will be
detected by your initialization of the device. Once it is initialized

Basically, I'm looking for a user's guide in text format to get a layout of
the controller. So far, I haven't been able to find one.

I would think that it should be a part of your racing game, but not

This sounds like it's going to be fun. I know that there is, or was, a game
for sighted gamers in which you create an amusement park. You had to, I
think, build the rides and hope they operate as they should. Will this be
part of your game as well? From the trailer, I'm interested. Thanks.
Hi Tom.
I admit I'm not keen on the grue in mutants either. They're held to be a
race of aliens who live on the moon and are the principle reason that earth
hasn't got intersteller contact with other alien races as they are pretty
much at war with most everyone off earth. They are
Different guilds have different requirements. My current guild has no exam like
the one you're describing, but the RP is definitely enforced.

Hi Charles,
Yeah, it does sound fun. I'm eager to try it out.
The game you probably are talking about is Roller Coaster Tycoon. It
was a game in the late 90's or so where you built an amusement park
with various roller coasters and managed the amusement park. I never

Hi Charles,
I was definitely planning on including force feedback support for USA
Raceway. That actually has been one of the reasons that particular
project was held up as I was waiting for SDL 2.0 to come out with
force feedback support so I could include it in Mac and Linux releases
of Raceway.
This sounds great!
I'm definitely looking forward to checking it out. It does sound a bit
like Roller Coaster Tycoon. I remember my sister playing that a lot
back when it was popular, and wishing I was able to play it. I think
it probably would have been too visual though.

Hi all.
The recent discussion on game controllers has me wondering if Paladin of the

Thanks in advance.

Hi Charles,
POV stands for point of view. In mainstream games it is often possible
to change the point of view or the perspective of where the game
character is looking by using the POV hat on the controller to look
around at the game world without moving the character.
Typically the POV hat is

Hi Jesse,
As far as I can tell Paladin of the Sky does not have any joystick or
gamepad support. Only keyboard support. Although, in a game like this
joystick support would be sort of overkill anyway.

I see. Unfortunately, I'm not finding a copy of my review, but the

In any case I'll see what I can come

I doubt I'll do joystick support, primarily because I don't have one.
If I understand how they work correctly, there would be little use for it.
