I disagree. He placed a very professional trailer at our disposal

features. This, in my point of view anyway, is enough to base a decision on

So how does this game work if we have to use the mouse? I mean, ever seen a
blind person in your life use a mouse? And especially how easy will it be
with a laptop?

You are not required to use the mouse, you have the option of useing the
keyboard or a joystick.
Well che, looks like you know what you're doing! I wish you look in the
development of your games. Out of interest what language do you use? I'm
thinking of giving up with autoit ...

Hi Damien,
I'm not familiar with autoIt, though I know plenty of blind programmers
use it.
I am currently using vb.net 2003, and it does what I need, though I am
considering switching to C sharp for Apache Gunship and KickBoxer, because
of trouble with force feedback control in vb.net, as
Che. I'm so glad you're using a real development platform.

Hi, Damien.
The way mice are used in games as compared to the way they work in other
apps is completely different. In a game the mouse comes just another
game controller like a joystick, keyboard, etc. Ever play an accessible
game with a joystick? Well, they are similar except the x and y axis
Hi, guys.
Since this topic has come up I'd like to take a moment to give out some
information why using a mouse is different in games than it is in any
other app like Word, Excel, Quicken, bla.
Normally, when a mouse is used you have to point the mouse pointer to a
specific spot in the
Hi, Simon.
At the moment the current test release does not have ff support, but
perhaps Che will get a chanse to get it in before 1.0.

Hi, Damien.
It is true someone always needs to start somewhere, but I personally
don't have a very high opinion of VB. Especially, VB 6 and earlier. VB 6
is really ancient technology now, and it's object oriented design
features sucks eggs.
You mentioned an interest in learning C++. It has a

It's not like you will have to use the mouse to select game menus. Just to
ctrl the racer. I think a mouse wood work better with this game than a
keybord.
Thanks

Hi, well, as for Raceway I still plan to have support for ff devices.
Since I am using C# .net I don't believe I will have any troubles
getting ff working. It seams to be a common problem with VB 6 and VB .net.

Hi, Ivan.
Rail Racer assumes you have a 2 button mouse so not having a middle
mouse button is no big deal. If you have one you can go in to options
and set your racer's jump feature to the middle button instead of the
space key.
